Almost a year BUT I AM BACK!!!!

Cosmic Bingo makes its dramatic return to Vancouver at the Italian Cultural Centre this Sunday night!!

I am really excited and will once again continue with this blog!! I apologize for the lengthy absence but that will be remedied!! Come out an play Cosmic with me!!

Supernova Update - halfway there!!

Hello everyone, have you missed me again? Ok here is a little update of the progress of the Supernova qualifying events.

They began in Mission the week before Halloween and during the celebration of Chances Boardwalk Missions 2 year anniversary. Though not one of our largest crowds they certainly were incredibly enthusiastic!!! It began the 7 week qualifying run on a positive not and I sure love that room. I tis as you know the room Cosmic Bingo began in Canada!!!

The following week we did a run up to Kamloops to do Cosmic Bingo at Chances Kamloops to a very hyper and packed room!! The reception there was AMAZING as we had been there a month earlier introducing Cosmic Bingo to the Kamloops players and they LOVED IT!!! (surprise surprise) It was really cool when I was told how a number of players who were at the original Cosmic there now keep doing Cosmic-esque actions during their regular sessions at at nearby legion where they also play. To me that was an amazing compliment to the show!! Also there were a couple of players who drove 90 minutes to come play at Chances Kamloops when they heard it was coming back. Rumor has it they will begin an ongoing run with a local host soon, That really rocks my world!!

The next week had us in langley for our debut at the Playtime Gaming Langley facility to a crowd that just went nuts, two nights of overwhelming success including a second night of pure madness wherein my brother in law who played allowed his entire body to be daubed by the very enthusiastic ladies in the audience.

And this past weekend we debuted in Maple Ridge to our largest audiences yet and now including players who have travelled from both Mission and Chilliwack to play there. I even had one female (boom chicka wow wow) actually shock and excite me in the middle of the show which I must say is a rarity from my perspecitve.

But one of the coolest parts of the two nights in Maple ridge was that we had this one lovely lady who really loved the fun of Cosmic bingo and she is 90 Years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cosmic Bingo Supernova

Yes yes I know, why haven't I been posting on here more frequently and I must apologize for my tardiness. So much has happened since my last posting, including a fantastic tour up North to places like Fort St. John and Dawson Creek with the show.

We had an amazing and fantastic time there and there are some great pictures from there both on the Cosmic Bingo website and on my facebook.

The staff and people we met in both places were fantastic and we certainy partied with them during and after Cosmic Bingo!!!

Into the fall we began the process of launching the SUPERNOVA I event which begins in just a few days and I could not be more excited about it!!! During this time we even did a quick run up to Kamloops and it was a MASSIVE hit at Chances Kamloops, so much so we are back there at the end of this month to include them in the SUPERNOVA I Event!!

What is the SUPERNOVA I event you ask, It is Cosmic Bingo on an Adrenaline rush, it is all the winners plus 1 freind coming to play Cosmic Bingo at one location and each game being worth $1000, yes you heard right $1000 each game!!

But that is not all, no not all at all, there will be a Cosmic Bonanza game worth $2500 (based on a 300+ attendance but we are expecting over 400 so no worries there) They are planning on a special license to allow drinks being servied including the "Cosmictini" in a blinking drinking glass!!

BUT WAIT there is MORE the prize wall that Cosmic Bingo has at each of its shows will this time be filled with over $2000 worth of CASH Prizes including 3 of them being worth $500 each!!!!

Doktor Strange, your host will be beyond hyper and wild that night so be prepared and do not FORGET this show is complete with its "Adult Humor Content" so be warned some material may be objectionable to some!! But that is the Doktor for you when doing Adult shows!!

It all kicks off this weekend in Mission and Sayturday night there will be AMAZING as that is their 1 year Anniversary so it is a full day party at Chances Boardwalk Mission culminating in a huge party like COSMIC BINGO night!!!

Mardi Gras Cosmic Bingo at Chances Boardwalk Mission

Good Morning Everyone.

Well Chances Boardwalk Mission did it again, they had the room beautifully set up with a total Mardi Gras ambience. It was wonderful to see quite a number of players dressed in Mardi Gras attire and totally getting into the fun of the evening again!!

Chances boardwalk Mission, for those of you who do not know this yet, was where Cosmic Bingo in Canada began. And is going strong still. The players there love the game and get into the night completely. We had some visitors from New Brunswick, who I believe travelled right across our great country just to play in Cosmic Bingo!!!

We had one of those unique synchromatic events happen when two players who got Bingo and came up to the prize wall were BOTH named LINDA!! I love it when that kind of stuff happens, it is amazing how much in life we can discover has a synchronicity to other events.

We had some Cosmic Bingo Virgins who also told me they loved the night and will be there again and again and I tell you, I just cannot hear that enough!! Amber who was our manager last night was great as was the entire staff who are so incredibly supportive of Cosmic Bingo. It is really an exciting feeling to see this universal highly positive reaction from the staff members and the players.

My favourite part is to see the diverse age demographics ALL PLAYING TOGETHER and HAVING A TOTAL BLAST!!! What an AMAZING FEELING!!

We are very excited to say we will be back in September and believe it will be September 12th and the theme is a 50's Sock Hop!!! Which definitely excited the ENTIRE room so I know it will be fillled with poodle skirts and leather jackets. 

Well we are getting ready to leave to bring Cosmic Bingo to Fort St. John and Dawson Creek so come back and visit and I will share the journey with you and all that happens as we visit the Beautiful North of Beautiful BC!!!

Hawaiian Night in Chilliwack

Good morning everyone, I am getting up a little earlier than expected after a fantastic Hawaiian night at Chilliwack Bingo with Cosmic Bingo last night. It was wonderful seeing that many people got into the theme. The staff and many players came dressed in grasskirts, flower leis and other assorted hawaiin clothing. Two young guys even zipped over to walmart to get hawaiian shirts for the night which earned them a lei from me and one for their ladies too! The Amazing Rhonda herself actually had a REAL Lei made of real orchids and she looked Ravishing!!!

My first two Cosmic Bingo Groupies (both with child and all) were given each a Hawaiian bra adorned in flowers which they quickly wore. Our winning male Pajama party freind came with TWO wives last night and we had a dancing Goddess named Zelda who obviosly loved to dance but whose enthusiasm helped her win BIG last night!!!

DJ Dave and our new DJ in training Brent both adorned their Grass skirts and had a blast. Lots of laughter last night, dancing straight through to some great tunes and of course the big excitement was the wee little addition to the "O69" Jig which EVERYONE got into!!!

Our next Cosmic Bingo at Chilliwack Bingo is September 11 and I had chose a theme for it but was given an absolutely Brilliant idea from one of our players nicknamed "Khaki" who said since it is 9-11 we should do an "Emergency Services" night and have people dress up as Doctors Nurses, Firepeople or Police and I thought that was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT and so I changed it to THAT theme. THANK YOU KHAKI!!!!

Well tonight we are back in Mission and the theme for this evening is MARDI GRAS night and I am so very much looking forward to it and seeing all our great players there like Joe and Helen who really moved me at the last Cosmic Bingo in Mission, Chances Boardwalk Mission that is!!

The Cosmic Bingo in Canada Blog

Hello, I am Doktor Strange and I am very excited about creating this blog to share with all who read it my adventures with Cosmic Bingo. I plan to talk about the shows, about the people I meet and about the things that happen as Cosmic Bingo grows across our Beautiful Coountry!!

Since we began Cosmic Bingo at Chances Boardwalk Mission it has expanded to Chilliwack Bingo and I am about to head off on a mini tour up north to share it wth players in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek. I plan on sharing that adventure with you in here as well so please stay tuned.
